Dr Saleh Alyahya ([email protected]) is the Deputy Dean of Academics at the Onaizaih College of Engineering and information Technology, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He got his Doctor of philosophy (PhD) in Manufacturing Engineering from the School of Engineering, University of Portsmouth, UK. His research thesis is titled: Integration and Optimization of an RFID-Enabled Inventory Management System of a Future Generation Warehousing System’. He got his Master of Science (M Sc.) Technology Management, School of Engineering, University of Portsmouth, UK in 2011 with research dissertation titled: ‘A novel design of a manual assembly system incorporating walking workers’ 2010 Degree: He got his Bachelor in Engineering in Communications Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, UK in 2010 with final year research title as ‘Digital Speech Recorder’. His area of interest is RFID and Network security. He is the IEEE pattern for Onaiza college of E&IT.

Earned Master's and PhD in Digital Data Communication and Processing from a leading University in the UK, Loughborough University. In 1990, teaching and academic experience started till now spreading from teaching data communication, computer networking, information, and network security, and information systems management and development. Participation in all academic activities was also being involved such as membership in academic committees and practicing academic administration responsibilities. Long experience in higher education practices allowed him to hold the head of the department, program coordinator, deputy dean in Computer Engineering Information Technology Department (Faculty) at the University of Technology, Baghdad, Dean of College of Engineering at Gulf University, Bahrain, and Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at Applied Science University, Bahrain.

Many workshops related to education and quality assurance have been attended especially in Bahrain arranged by the HEC, QAAET, UoB, GU, ASU, and HEA UK which offer me the HEA fellowship in 2016. Other workshops and certificates were also gained from international organizations such as UN IIE, ABET, British Council, and IREX Education. This experience allowed me to participate in reviewing university programmes and educational practices. The experience and practices also gave me the required skills of dealing with colleagues and managers in the higher education sector and helping me in programs and college establishment together with developing accurate and achievable plans. Research skills have been gained over 32 years achieving more than 130 publications over 120 PhD and MSc thesis supervision, book publication, patent, research awards, and promotion to Professor in 2003. Moreover, senior membership in IEEE Computer and Communication Societies, member of Journal’s editorial board, chairing and member of international conference TPCs, reviewer of scientific publications, organizing conferences, university research handbook auditing, research budget preparation, research groups establishment, and over 300 thesis examiners.

Dr Hanan currently working as acting General Director of Energy Efficinecy at Ministy of Electricity and Water Affairs, she was the head of the Department of Physics at the University of Bahrain. Albuflasa has a Ph.D. and an M.Sc in Renewable Energy from the Centre of Renewable Energy System Technologies, CREST, Loughborough University, UK. Albuflasa is Bahrain’s representative for the GCC Technical Standard Committee on Renewable Energy and Energy Storage Systems, a participating member and country representative of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for TC 82 and TC 88. She is a senior IEEE member, IEEE SIGHT chair and REGION 8 Power and Energy Society Representative.
She is the principal investigator of several research grants and collaborations between the University of Bahrain and other international institutions, including the Horizon2020 project. |

Currently, Dr Aysha Al-Sayed serves as the Head of the Computer Engineering Department at the University of Bahrain, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring engineers. She is the chair of the Quality Assurance committee in the computer engineering department since 2018. She received her B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering with first class honors in 2009 from the University of Bahrain. She completed her M.Sc. degree, with distinction, in Electronic Engineering from the University of York in 2011. In 2016, she received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering from the University of Manchester. Aysha received a postgraduate certificate in academic practice (PCAP) from the University of Bahrain in 2017. |
Aysha is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), a board member in IEEE COMSOC Bahrain chapter, and has served in many IEEE functions including the organizing committee in IEEE MENACOM 2019 as well as Track Chair (TPC) in Globecom’18. In 2019, she received the best paper award in the prestigious IEEE Wireless Communication and Networking Conference (IEEE WCNC 2019).
Her research focuses on 5G and beyond wireless and cellular networks, MAC layer design for wireless communication systems, Internet of Things, green wireless networking, interference and radio resource management as well as machine learning in the MAC layer of communication networks. Her research work resulted in several publications in top IEEE transactions and conferences.

He has prioritized crop seed and animal breed improvement programs, value chain improvement, agricultural financing, water management, and agricultural financing for research in the university.
